Use and operation of semi trailers


Before using the new car, all external connections and fasteners must be inspected and tightened. Pay particular attention to whether the spring washers, cotter pins, and other locking installations are correctly and securely installed.    

1. Connection of semi-trailer and tractor
 
(1) Before connecting, check and remove the sand, dirt or other foreign matter on the surface of the tractor’s traction seat and the semi-trailer’s traction pin and traction pin plate, and check if there is enough grease.

(2) In order to connect smoothly, the supporting device should be operated to adapt the height of the semi-trailer traction pin plate to the height of the tractor traction seat. Generally, the trailer traction pin plate is about 10–30MM lower than the center position of the tractor traction seat. Sometimes it can not only be connected, but also damage the traction seat \ traction pin and related parts.

(3) Operate the traction seat locking mechanism to open the locking block, and then check whether the locking block is opened to a free state.

(4) Reverse the tractor backward so that the semi-trailer traction pin enters the opening of the locking mechanism from the V-shaped opening of the traction seat, and the lock block is rotated, and the lock block and the traction pin are automatically locked.

(5) Check whether the lock of the traction seat lock mechanism has locked the traction pin, and whether the lock is safe and reliable.

(6) Move the tractor slightly forward and check the connection.

2. pneumatic connection

(1) Connect the two air joints on the tractor to the two air joints on the semi-trailer. Note: Do not connect them incorrectly. The right side of the forward direction of the semi-trailer is the pneumatic pipe (red) air joint, and the left is the control. Pipe (^ color) gas connector (the handshake corresponds to the color connection of the gas line).

(2) After the air connectors are connected to each other, the semi-trailer air path disconnect switch on the tractor must be unscrewed to make the air path in a vented state, otherwise the trailer brake system cannot be supplied with air and the brake system cannot work.

(3) Start the engine, observe the barometer in the cab, and increase the pressure in the tractor and semi-trailer gas cylinders to the specified pressure (above 800KPA).

(4) Check whether there is air leakage in the air circuit and whether the braking system is working normally.

3. the operation of the turn lock mechanism

The container semi-trailer is equipped with a turn lock.When the container is not loaded, the lock head should be lowered below the floor of the carriage.When the container needs to be shipped, the side \ backgate should be removed, the container should be placed, and the turn lock should be locked.

4. the connection of the circuit

(1) Insert the cable connection plug of the tractor into the cable connection socket on the front of the semi-trailer.

(2) Check whether the electrodes are well combined and confirm that the lights are working properly.
